Southern City Strolls

Fall Color Report
The Fall color report is in, and full of vibrant colors from nude and camel to wine, olive, gold, and blue. That’s right, you don’t have to wear all black for Autumn.
Before leaving for our weekend trip to Savannah, I stopped by local consignment shop, Style 5:16 to check out their amazing upscale selection. On the hunt, I wanted an outfit that would serve as a neutral backdrop to a new and colorful plaid blanket scarf. (Not realizing it would be a warm 80s while in Georgia!)
I love the feeing of a lived-in pair of jeans, and these Citizens of Humanity boots cut fit like a dream! Style 5:16 as a huge selection of denim, and I actually had to narrow down my choice. When I slid these ones on, they felt perfect for strolling the historic city streets.
Next was a top to go with my newfound darker denim. When Jonelle pulled this Shakespearian inspired blouse, with sophisticated details in the fit and trim, I knew it was perfect! Made of silk, the neckline texture and slit sleeves felt special, but not overly done.
The finishing touch came when I spotted these with these amazing Ray-Ban AmberMatic shades (eeek!) which pull the outfit from basic to high fashion. (These Aviators pre-date the white Ray-Ban logo, and I died over the 24k gold plated shooter-bullet hole frame and wire wrap around cables!) The perfect statement sunnies for fall.
Style 5:16 is an awesome gem for those of you on the treasure hunt. Their selection ranges from gorgeous vintage finds to lux designer pieces. All name-brand clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories. Boutique-like in nature, the shop is so much fun to explore! Rare, different and exclusive is what comes to mind, and even if you aren’t sure exactly what you are looking for, Jonelle and her team are there to pull pieces that will separate you from the crowd, and leave you with that warm fuzzy feeling.
After visiting, I discovered Style 5:16 has a glam second floor loft that Jonelle uses as a design, craft and party studio. First off it’s adorable, and second, it’s a great place for friends, book clubs or other groups to get together for art and crafting/ Pinterest parties. (I mean I talk about having Pinterest parties all the time, but this is the way to do it!) If you’re looking for a space to host an event with a special artistic twist Style 5:16 Studio is the perfect place. Check out her site here for upcoming “Sip N’ Sew” classes.
With the changing of leaves and the chill of a cooler breeze, now is the time for bold colors, softer knits, and feel good fabrics that will enchant all season long.
